The Accommodation

  • Lavender House spans three floors and comprises of

    • Small front pocket garden and seat for two.

    Ground Floor:

    • Entrance hall with auto light for night time entrance.

    Lounge 

    • Lounge with open fire, easy seating for eight persons, Colour TV (SkyFreeSat), DVD Player etc. Games Coffee Table.

    Dining/Game Room 

    • Dining Room with open fire. Table & seating for eight persons. Dresser with dining ware, Colour TV, Kid’s Games.
    • The top removes from the table to reveal a 6ft snooker table, please note the top is quite heavy.

    Kitchen 

    • Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, sink, fridge, washing machine, cupboards and cookware.
    • Exterior lockable open yard has refuse bins and can take a number of bikes. With outbuildings that have an added freezer and tumble dryer. You can store your fuel for the open fires if required.

    First Floor:
    Bathroom

    • Bathroom with original roll top bath, WC and Wash Basin, and 110/240 volt shaver/ electric toothbrush point (bathroom safety low amp socket).

    Rear Double Bedroom 

    • Bedroom with double bed

    Master Bedroom

    • Master bedroom with King-size double bed. The room is of a suitable size, should you need the option, to also take a baby cot or folding bed.

    Second Floor:
    Nb. Please note the stairs to 2nd floor are quite steep

    Twin Bedroom

    • Twin Bedroom with two single beds.

    Single Bedroom/ensuite 

    • Single Bedroom with one single bed and wash basin, ensuite washroom with shower and WC.

Nb. The washroom facilities are quite often shared if members are of the same family.


A Gas Combination Boiler provides FULL central heating throughout the house and constant demand hot water.  


We welcome dogs and other pets to our property and while we maintain a high cleaning standard, please note if you suffer from allergies, asthma or other similar conditions.


There is a Payphone on the property for your use.


With notice we can provide free of charge, use of a baby cot and high chair, but please note we cannot provide linen for the cot as this comes down to ever changing guidelines for safety and quite often personal preferences for  your child.


There is a folding bed for that visitor or eighth person and may be placed at your discretion.
Linen for bedding is provided free of charge on a weekly basis. If you stay longer than a week, a bed linen change is offered.


A starter pack of fuel for an open fire is given; further supplies can be bought locally.


There are books and several games for the family, adult and kids for those inevitable rainy days.


With notice, one hand towel and one bath towel can be supplied at £4.00 per person per week.


Any further supplies of bedding/ towels can be provided for an appropriate rate.
One well behaved pet is welcome and included in the price. Further pets can be brought, with permission, at £10 per animal. Please note that any damage, however caused, must be paid for.


There is a pay phone in the property.


Parking is on street, is well lit, and is available on a first come first served basis. A  Pub and local shops are within 200 yards of the property. The Town centre is within walking distance, bus & train station within 0.21 of a mile.
